WETHERSPOON’s Dearne-based boozers are taking part in the pub-chain’s annual Real Ale and Cider Festival.
This year’s event, which runs until April 10, is set to be extra special as it features the highest number of new beers and specially-brewed ales ever seen at the festival.
Wetherspoon and Lloyds No 1 bars across the area will join others nationwide to provide 10 ciders and 40 real ales from across the UK and abroad.
These include wheat beers and beverages flavoured with such fruits as banana, blackberry and plum.
There will also be five international brewers, never before featured by Wetherspoon, which will include featured brewers from Sweden and Jamaica.
Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint.
