A festive music favourite is set to kick-start Christmas with a show in Doncaster.
The Roy Wood Rock & Roll band are performing at the Dome at the end of the month.
The English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who hit the big time in the 1960s and 70s as member and co-founder of The Move, Electric Light Orchestra and most famously Wizzard, will be showcasing his talents on Sunday , November 29.
The concert is set to include all Roy’s best-known work including I can hear the grass grow, Flowers in the rain, Blackberry Way and See my Baby Jive, as well as his famous Christmas chart-topper I wish it Could be Christmas Every day.
Chris Hone, of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, which manages the Dome, said: “There is no better way to start the festive season than with Roy Wood’s legendary Rock & Roll Band.
“Fans can expect all the hits in what is set to be a spectacular show, topped off by Roy’s famous I wish it Could be Christmas Every day tune which will ensure Christmas has well and truly arrived in Doncaster.
“It’s great to welcome acts like Roy Wood to the Dome.”
