ROTHERHAM'S own Chuckle Brothers will be returning to the place where it all began for them as they take an introspective look at their career - and its humble origins at the Civic Theatre - in a new BBC programme.
The Comedy Map of Britain, which will be shown on Saturday, May 10, on BBC2 at 9.45pm, which has previously featured celebrities including Johnny Vegas and Jenny Eclair, will be focusing on the Chuckle Brothers and how they took the first steps in their 20-year career at Rotherham's beloved Civic Theatre.
Theatre Manager Mark Scott explained: "The brothers came down to film with the BBC last June and were both marvellous. They had nothing but good things to say about the theatre and their memories of it.
"They were cracking jokes throughout and really lit up the stage. They're great ambassadors for the theatre and said how they would love to appear there again at some point."
