A CHRISTMAS Fair – held in freezing conditions outside a Bolton-on-Dearne pub – managed to raise £120 for Barnsley Hospice.
Organised by fundraisers Pete Finnegan and Tommy Joyce MBE, the event was held during sub-zero temperatures over the festive period at the Angel Hotel.
The duo both dressed as Father Christmas, and organised numerous stalls, fairground rides and a raffle in front of the pub to help keep passers-by entertained.
Pete said: “It was so cold on the day, it was like the North Pole.
“Normally we would have raised a lot more, but you can’t blame people for not coming out because it was freezing.
“We still managed to raise a fair bit, and I want to thank everyone who helped out on the day and donated money.”
