Canine companions are to be the focus of a talk at The Cooper Gallery in Barnsley on Saturday, February 8, at 11am.

Visitors can learn what it took to bring together the gallery’s current Art of Dogs exhibition, and curator Amanda Stoner will give a glimpse into the history of man’s relationship with dogs seen through artworks like Deerhounds by Sir Edwin Landseer.

Tickets are available from the Cooper Gallery reception and cost £5 each.

Run by Barnsley Council, the Cooper Gallery is a creative art-space in the heart of the town centre, with exhibitions, events, a coffee lounge and a Craft Showcase which features crafts and artwork for sale by regional and local artists.
