Swimming: Axholme juniors crowned Humber champs
South Axholme Academy are celebrating being crowned Humberside School swimming champions after successfully representing North Lincolnshire.
After emphatically winning the Scunthorpe Schools Gala in June, Axholme’s Year Eight team were pitted against schools from all over the region, including Hull, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, other schools within North Lincolnshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.
The school were crowned champions of the region after some excellent individual performances, particularly in the relays where Axholme came in the top two positions in every race.
