Rotherham Titans are set to bring some brotherly love to next season’s Championship.
The Titans have unveiled forward Charlie Maddison as their latest signing, reuniting him with brother Barney.
Hooker Maddison made 24 appearances for National One side Darlington Modwen Park last season.
He previously played for Tynedale and Leeds Met where he studied sport science for four years alongside his playing duties.
Coach Lee Blackett said: “He came down and trained a little bit with us towards the back end of last season and he’s very much like Barney.
“He’s someone who you’d never doubt and he gives you 100 per cent every time he goes out there.
“He’s aggressive and feisty and he wants to get in peoples faces; he has a real edge to him on that side of things.
“He has the ability to get around the field, but he’s the type of player who enjoys getting in peoples faces and that will be good for us.”
Maddison is the Titans’ third signing of the week. Tight head prop James Elliott joined from Old Centralians while fly half Will Goodwin arrived from Chester.
