JAMIE McDonnell’s fight for the IBF bantamweight world title WILL take place at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The Hatfield fighter will meet Mexico’s Julio Ceja under the stars on May 11 at the Keepmoat which could house a crowd of around 9,000.
McDonnell said: “I’m over the moon to get his fight at the Keepmoat and it means everything to have this fight in Doncaster.
“I’m going to make the dream come true on May 11, win the fight and win the world title.
“It’s spurred me on 200 per cent and I want the people of Doncaster to get behind me and sell the Keepmoat out.”
Around 9,000 tickets will be available for the bout, going on sale on Saturday morning at 10am.
Over 7,000 seats have been made available for the fight, priced £35 for rear seating, £50 for regular seating and £75 for prime central seating.
A further 1,500 ringside and VIP inner ringside seats will be available from £125. Interest for these should be registered at the Keepmoat ticket office.
