Liam Cameron will be the veteran boxer on a show at the Magna Centre, Rotherham a week on the tender age of 24!

Cameron takes on super middleweight George Beroshvili, from Georgia, in a 10-rounder. The Sheffielder stands head and shoulders above the rest of the home fighters on a packed bill, in terms of ring-experience, with a W18 L4 record.

The headliner is Waleed Din v Thomas Essomba for the Commonwealth flyweight title - Din, 22, could collect the title after just seven previous fights. The other home fighters on the bill represent the upcoming generation of talent. They include Muheeb Fazeldin, who has had seven previous pro bouts and Ramzy Nassa, who has six. Scott Westgarth has five on his record, Kyle Yousaf four and Nicolie Campbell two. There are debuts for Tom Bell, Nathan McGarry, Kevin Skill and Darren Snow.

Meanwhile, Rossington super feather Maxi Hughes will appear on a Buxton show on October 23. The southpaw, who suffered a nose injury in a loss to Martin Ward in Leeds in April, hasn’t won since boxing at iceSheffield 13 months ago.

His opponent has yet to be named.

Top of the bill is Derbyshire cruiserweight Jack Massey, who competes for the vacant WBC Youth Silver title against Gogita Gorgiladze from Georgia.
