South Yorkshire League new boys Eden Grove Parklands remain at the foot of Division Four (East) after a resounding 118-run defeat at home to Dearne.
Paul Wiliams (84) and opener Jonathan Millward (69) were the mainstays for Dearne who batted first and posted an imposing 210-5 from their allotted overs.
Parklands, with just one win to their name this season, knew they faced a tough task and it proved to be well beyond them as they collapsed to 92 all out.
Craig Taylor (33) and Graham Langford (19) were the only home batsmen to reach double figures.
Peter Moss starred with the ball for Dearne, skittling six of Parklands’ top seven and finishing with figures of 6-26 from 13 overs.
The hosts are ten points adrift of safety with the season now at its halfway stage.
It is a different story at the other end of the table for leaders Mexborough Athletic who got the better of promotion rivals Wentworth to maintain their unbeaten record.
Jaan Shanaka (73), Michael Faley (54) and Danny Jenkinson (54no) all came to the fore with the bat for Mexborough who finished on a very impressive 260-7.
In reply wickets fell at reglar intervals as Wentworth failed to come up with any answers against Neil Spruce, who ran riot to claim brilliant figures of 8-51.
The margin of victory would have been much greater had it not been for a tenth wicket partnership of 62 between Chris Stead (31no) and Gary Claydon (26), before Wentworth were finally dismissed for 182.
Mexborough sit 11 points clear of second-placed Adwick-le-Street and have a 23-point cushion to fourth.
Warmsworth B remain in the relegation zone after a dramatic one run defeat to Wombwell Main B.
