Stock car racing returns to Owlerton Stadium this Sunday (31 May) and the event will end on an extra special twist - a thrilling caravan race!
The afternoon will feature a mix of Stock Car and Banger action between Yorkshire and Lancashire as racers from both sides of the Pennines battle it out in the grand finale of the war of the roses.
Dave Perry, Owlerton’s general manager said: “We are gearing up for Sunday’s stock race which will no doubt be another fast-paced and exciting event for all the family to enjoy, making it a great way to end the school Spring Bank half term.
“With a combination of speed and strategy, the action sport always has the audience on tenterhooks and generates a fantastic atmosphere here at the stadium.
“Sunday’s event will be extra special as the white and red roses go head-to-head in the final stage of the battle. And of course, there is the incredible caravan race to round off the day.”
The stock race is the second of the year to be held at Owlerton, with four more to follow in June, August, October and November.
Tickets are priced at £14 for adults and £12 for concessions, and £6 for children aged between five and 15. A family of two adults and up to three children can also get a combined ticket for £40.
The action gets underway at Owlerton Stadium at 1pm.
