ALISON Knowles triumphed in the Ray Jowett Medal Final as the elite of Hickleton Lady Golfers faced off on Sunday.
Knowles topped the four woman field in the stableford event with 73 points, seeing off Vicky Olney into second place.
Meanwhile, Linda Morris won another Hickleton medal competition on Sunday.
Morris improved her handicap by two strokes with a fantastic 67pt nett round which proved good enough to win the competition.
Angela Bowkett finished second with 71 pts.
Earlier this month Hickleton held the Paul Rich Memorial Day in memory to the former club captain.
Phil Ascott triumphed in the men’s stableford competition with 39pts, ahead of Jay Rees in second with 38pts.
Jasmine Rees won the juniors’ competition with 41pts while Jack Branton finished second with 40pts.
The women’s competition was played over 12 holes due to poor weather conditions.
Sonia Sugden came out victorious with 27pts while Phillipa Henery was second with 26pts.
Rich was captain of Hickleton during the club’s centenary year in 2009 and sadly passed away in August of that year.
