He grew impatient waiting for his first opportunity but Aston Jolly is determined to grasp his latest chance with both gloves.

The Hyde Park fighter travels to London’s historic York Hall tomorrow night for an English light middleweight title eliminator against Essex-born Ben Hall.

Jolly’s chance came after winning his first title last time out, capturing the newly created British Classic Challenge belt.

“I said before the last fight that it would open up doors for me and it has,” Jolly said.

“The opportunities are coming thick and fast for me and I’m going to take them.

“I had to wait for that first chance but it was worth waiting for.

“It’ll be a tough fight but I’m convinced I’m going to get the job done. I’m not bothered that I’m going to be the away fighter. You just have to take these chances when they come.

“The training camp has gone really well, the sparring has been top notch and I’m ready to go.”

Opponent Hall was won six of his seven fights, drawing the other. Jolly has a similar record with one more win that his opponent.

Jolly will have a familiar face in the dressing room alongside him on Saturday night.

Stablemate Adam Jones of Denaby Main is set to face former British middleweight title contender John Ryder over six rounds.
