DONCASTER RACECOURSE: Queen’s horse ready for action

THE Queen’s Royal Ascot winner Estimate heads a field of nine for the DFS Park Hill Stakes over the full St Leger course at Doncaster today.

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly took the Queen’s Vase at the Royal meeting and was third behind another contender, Wild Coco, at Glorious Goodwood last month.

Wild Coco, trained by Sir Henry Cecil, was making a winning comeback in the Group Three Lillie Langtry Stakes after nearly 12 months off the track.

Estimate’s trainer is also represented by Monshak, who refused to race on her latest start at York.

Godolphin rely on Kailani who has been highly tried in both the Oaks and the Ribblesdale Stakes since defeating Hazel Lavery in the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket in May.

Charlie Hills’ charge renews rivalry with the Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained filly.

Completing the list are last year’s fourth Cracking Lass, Ambivalent, Bite Of The Cherry and Gallipot.
