Danum Eagles made it a magnificent seven wins out of seven with a 95-81 victory over Sporting Club Albion.
Eagles’ comfortable win keeps their unbeaten record in tact heading into the festive break in their first ever season in National League Division Four (Midlands).
With a full squad to choose from, coach Ross Stafford’s men started quickly against Albion.
Towering 6’8” centre Matt Wilson scored the first six points to establish an early lead for the home team.
A 10-0 run from Albion in the final two minutes of the first quarter kept the game in the balance at 29-27 in favour of the Eagles.
The second quarter, however, proved to be a master class in team basketball from the Eagles.
They shared the ball and built a 54-41 lead at half time, helped by the scoring of George Colwill and Mathew Martin.
The second half was more of the same for the unbeaten Eagles and a comfortable scoreline of 95-81 ensured the Eagles hold onto top spot in the league table.

Matt Wilson (16) and Colwill (15) also made good contributions.
