* FOUR goals from the red hot Alex Rowe helped Wath St James U18s continued their strong march at the top of the Charles Rice Premier League with a 6-0 win over Worsbrough.
Difficult conditions made life hard but the Saints were always in charge.
Rowe beat his man for power and pace to open the scoring after 15 minutes before adding a second with a powerful effort from 10 yards following Joe Formby’s pass.
Chances went begging for Jack Hakin, Nial Cairns and Kieron Hirst but Hakin netted at the second attempt, latching onto a floated Cairns ball and rifling past the Worsbrough keeper.
Rowe sealed his hat trick shortly after the break when Liam Hadfield chased down the Worsbrough defenders, won the ball and found his partner in space for a finish with the outside of the boot.
The score could have been much wider with Sam Booker and Kyle Kitchen going close but Rowe rounded off a man of the match performance with a spectacular finish.
