Some, like Ed Williams and Andy Butler, earned longer stays while others were free to move on. Here, we take a look at each of the players that Darren Moore ran the rule over during pre-season.
5. Jonathan Flatt
The goalkeeper featured in the friendly at Bradford City as Darren Moore considered adding a third goalkeeper to his squad for cover. The former Wolves youngster was latterly in the EFL with Scunthorpe United before dropping into non-league. He featured for Rovers U23s in at least one game for cover. Photo: Harry Trump
6. Wato Kuate
The midfielder featured in the friendlies against Bradford City and Scunthorpe United before his trial was ended. The 24-year-old Cameroonian spent two months with Dundee United three years ago in his only spell in British football but has based himself in London this summer in order to try to find a club. Previously he has featured for clubs across Europe. Photo: Dundee United FC
7. Julien Lamy
The former Rotherham United forward impressed during his time on trial with Rovers, having featured in the friendlies with Derby County and Manchester United U21s. But having secured other attacking targets, Rovers were unwilling to stretch the budget in order to snap up the 20-year-old. Photo: Alex Davidson
8. Charlie Seaman
The right back has been offered a contract with Rovers after impressing during his trial, which included game time against Manchester United U21s. The 20-year-old is a free agent after leaving Bournemouth earlier in the summer. Photo: Bryn Lennon
