DAVID COTTERILL

He will always stand out for me. I think he had 18 or 19 assists in that 2012/13 season. I think six or seven of them were for me. His ability on the ball was second to none. He was a real massive influence in the fact that we got promoted. Nearly every goal we scored he had something to do with it.

JAMES COPPINGERCopps will always be at the forefront of everything Doncaster do or how the club is spoken about. His professionalism, his attitude, his charisma, his ethic towards the football club is infectious.

I think in the second half of that season Chris Brown was outstanding. He was unplayable at times.

You can go through them all really. It was a group that will always stand out. Tommy Spurr was a leader who had passion, desire and a real workrate.

Jamie McCombe played alongside me and I thought we worked really well together.

Paul Keegan was in and out of the team that season but when he was called upon he was terrific with what we asked him to do.

Neil Sullivan was ultra-professional. He played at the highest level and I’m sure he would have found it difficult not being in the side in League One but he always helped and encouraged and nurtured the younger group.
