Simon’s treble blows Windmill off course

DONCASTER Sunday Alliance League Division Two leaders Windmill crashed 6-2 at home to Carpenters Arms.

Simon Robertshaw was Arms’ hat-trick hero with Andrew Welch 2, and Sam Braun also netting.

Second-placed Edlington Top Club missed out a chance to close the gap on the leaders, going down 2-1 at third-placed HPK, who exchanged places with them. Carl Hayes scored both for HPK.

Brodsworth United beat Rosehill Press, for whom Robert Lee 2, and John Currie netted, 4-3.

Skellow Rangers (Nathan Seaman) and Glad Old Boys (Greg Brice) battled out a 1-1 draw.

Carl Shillito and Josh Rowley hit two each in Wadworth Sports’ 7-0 win over AFC Cusworth. Danny Boram, Joshua Marlow and David Watson also got in on the act.

Balby Academy of Sport retained top spot on goal difference after beating Tank 4-1. Keiran Ferguson hit a hat-trick with Simon Manterfield also chipping in. Jason Ridley replied.

Leger Lions maintained their challenge with a 4-1 win over Grove Carvery through Ryan Wattam 2, Harry Swain and Matthew Gelsthorpe.

Third-placed Maltings crashed 5-2 at home to South Kirkby Colliery.

Jay Crossland 2, and Rob Fletcher gave bottom club Hatfield Chace their first win of the season 3-0 at home to Armthorpe Village.

David Hartshorn and Craig Green sentenced Ingram Arms to a 2-0 defeat at home to Horse & Groom Town.

Catholic Club continue to set a scorching pace at the top of Division Four - they beat Yorkshire Grey (Luke Howe) 3-1 to claim their seventh win in as many starts.

Former leaders Hesley lost second spot after an 8-3 home defeat against Rossington United.

Campsall climbed three places to go second on goal difference following their 7-1 win over Bay Horse.

Mark Barkham 2, and Gavin Smith gave Balby Rovers a 3-0 win at Harvester.

James Bytheway grabbed a hat-trick in The Glasshouse’s 6-5 win over Hatfield Woodhouse. Scott Southerhill, Liam Coupey and Michael Garner completed their tally with Stewart Howell 2, Glen Randell 2, and Shea McConville replying.

Willaspoons extended their lead at the top of Division Five to six points with their eighth win in nine starts - 5-3 at Crown Hotel.

Second-placed Walton Wanderers were held 3-3 at Inter Debs, (Richard Crawforth 2, and Stuart Sheppard).

Third-placed Rossington Poacher (Scott Muir 2) wereheld 2-2 by bottom club M25.

The Vault climbed into second place with a 12-0 triumph over third bottom Ivanhoe.

Balby Rec had to settle for a Robert Shaw consolation in a 6-1 defeat at Barnby All Stars.
