Rotherham Utd vs Shrewsbury Town

Don Valley, February 12, 3pm

SHREWSBURY signalled their intent last summer with a raft of signings and continued their recruitment campaign in last month’s transfer window.

And the renewed push to get out of League Two is looking good so far with the Shrews sitting on a four point cushion in the automatic promotion places.

Their shiny Greenhous Meadow stadium has become somewhat of a fortress with just two defeats suffered there all season while a run of four straight wins has pushed them firmly into the top three.

The Millers will look to exploit the rather patchy away form.

WITH defensive woes blighting the current campaign, everyone surrounding the Millers must curse the day the club allowed towering former skipper Ian Sharps to slip through their fingers.

The ex-Tranmere man rejected a new deal last summer, bringing to an end to his four year stint with the Millers where he formed a reliable centre half pairing with Nick Fenton.

Current league standings have justified his surprise decision.
