Recreation Ground, April 30, 3pm
THE last time Aldershot welcomed the Millers to the Recreation Ground was in last season’s play off semi–final and a lot has changed since then.
While the Millers’ punt for another play off appearance has only just died, the Shots have not looked like repeating the feat since the first quarter of the season.
Results have been far too patchy and relegation looked a possibility when Kevin Dillon was dismissed in January.
A resurgence under Dean Holdsworth – with a 10 match unbeaten run which only ended last weekend – has taken the Shots away from the danger zone.
DEAN Holdsworth chose a tough club to begin his Football League managerial career with.
The former Wimbledon and Bolton striker made a strong start to managerial life by guiding Newport County into the Conference National and putting them on course for a play off place before joining the Shots. But with budget cuts set for next season, the 42-year-old will be hard pressed to continue his early success.
