Rotherham United LFC: Shaw’s four inspires Millers to victory

Rawmarsh staged an 11-goal thriller as Loughborough Foxes were bitten by Rotherham United Ladies, writes Julian Barker.

The Millers were keen to reverse two heavy home defeats (8-3 and 7-2) and they did that in style as the goal fest at Roundwood saw Rotherham clinch a 7-4 victory.

A clinical four goals from Natalie Shaw (pictured in red), a brace from Amy Pollock and a further strike from Shannon Brooks made sure Rotherham finished the mid-table Midland Combination clash as the victors.

However, United were dealt further injury blows with Brooks requiring an operation and Jess Birtles possibly adding to a casualty list which includes Bianca Ross, Sarah Saxon and Jemma White who are all sidelined until the New Year.
