LIVE: Doncaster Rovers 0 Fleetwood Town 1
54min Almost two
Rovers almost get caught out for a second. Kyle Vassell meets a long ball forward and, spotting Louis Jones in two minds, flicks the ball on only for the Rovers keeper to claim it.
51min GOAL Fleetwood
Barrie McKay puts Fleetwood ahead.
Just an awful goal from a Rovers perspective. Barrie McKay latches onto a Kyle Vassell pass on the left and races forward, easily getting the better of Joe Wright before sliding a shot under Louis Jones from a tight angle with the cover slack in getting across.
Poor.
3.50pm Not great
So much of that first half has felt like a pre-season friendly, such is the pace of the game so far.
Rovers have not been great at all. They’re keeping the ball at the back and waiting for opportunities to open up but there has not been enough quality of movement or passing to craft anything higher up the pitch.
The midfield two are dropping far too deep, which is inviting Fleetwood even further on, while the movement of the front four is just not good enough in the main.
Intensity has got to pick up.
37min Off the post
Andy Butler played a woefully short pass inside to Tom Anderson with Kyle Vassell racing in to nick the ball away. He worked space for a shot and curled an effort which rattled back off the far post.
