Rotherham United striker Tom Pope has joined fellow promotion contenders Port Vale on a one month loan deal.
The 24-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Millers this season with only five coming in a starting role.
He has fallen further down the pecking order at Don Valley following the arrival of Ian Thomas-Moore from Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday.
The move has been granted to give Pope more game time and he is reportedly delighted to have the opportunity to play for the club he supported as a boy.
Pope will go straight into the Valiants’ squad for Saturday’s trip to Lincoln City.
However, he is ineligible for the League Two clash between the Millers and the Valiants on Tuesday.
