THE BLUES have brought in Rotherham United midfielder Grant Darley on loan in a bid to boost their survival hopes.
Frickley dropped back into the bottom three after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Mickleover Sports and boss Peter Rinkcavage has turned to the highly rated 19-year-old to provide a spark.
Also arriving on transfer deadline day was Lee Snodin, son of former Doncaster Rovers defender Glynn.
Darley made his debut in the defeat to Mickleover which followed the 1-0 win over Worksop Town in midweek.
A header from Karl Ashton gave Mickleover a 21st minute lead and he doubled the tally four minutes from the break.
Ashley Longstaff pulled a goal back in first half stoppage time.
Frickley battled well in the second half with Longstaff denied by a fearless save from Chris Dodsley while a high James Kay ball dropped to Jack Watts but his bouncing effort spun wide of the post.
But they were hit with the sucker punch six minutes from time when Liam Walshe tapped in Mickleover’s third.
