Latest update on Rayhaan Tulloch's possible return to Doncaster Rovers

Tulloch has been absent since September due to a hamstring injury and has spent his recovery time back with parent club West Bromwich Albion.

The 19-year-old has suffered a couple of setbacks in his recovery from the injury which has prolonged his absence.

But medical staff at West Brom are confident he is nearing his return to full training and are preparing to allow him to join back up with Rovers at Cantley Park.

However, Tulloch will be sent for a scan over the next week to check the status of the injury before the final go-ahead is given.

“He’s got a scan before the end of the month and hopefully by the first of January that will reveal everything is okay,” Rovers boss Darren Moore told the Free Press.

“They just want that scan to make sure he’s okay before he returns back.

“Hopefully on that one we’ll get the green light.”

The next update from West Brom will be pivotal in the future of Tulloch’s loan from the West Midlands club.

Moore has stated he will explore the possibility of signing a replacement on loan and cancelling the deal for Tulloch, should his absence stretch much longer.

The Rovers boss is already one wide player down after Josh Sims was ruled out for the rest of his initial loan agreement with a hamstring injury.
