Armthorpe lost 3-2 at NCEL Premier Division outfit Hemsworth MW, while Rossington were beaten 2-0 at home to Division One rivals Nostell MW.
Layton Swaine had given Hemsworth a second minute lead but Armthorpe turned the game on its head with first half goals from Luke Williams and Paul Sherburn.

Ben Hunter’s Rossington side paid the penalty for Jack Watson’s missed spot kick as they suffered the same fate.
Watson’s first half penalty was saved before goals from Amir Berchil and Brett Smith sent the visitors through to the next round.
Armthorpe travel to East Hull on Tuesday night for their NCEL Division One opener. Rossington start at Winterton Rangers on Wednesday.
