The 21-year-old has so far managed only one senior appearance for Palace since being taken on out of the Anderlecht academy in 2015.

Moore insists the Belgian winger is desperate to show off his abilities in a senior environment and hopes Rovers will benefit from that.

“He’s champing at the bit, coming from Palace and he probably doesn’t feel he’s had the right opportunity there,” Moore said. “He is hungry to showcase what he’s about.

“He’s someone, in terms of how we play, I feel will bring a lot to us.

“When games are tight, someone of his flair and ability can isolate people in one v one situations and create, unlock and open the door.

“That is what I think we needed.

“Loks will bring the ability to beat people in one v ones. He’s got great skill, will drop his shoulder, great technique, great tight control, great awareness.

“He can play 7, 10 or 11 - whichever we see fit because he’s got a lot of versatility in him.”

Lokilo met his new team mates for the first time on Monday morning after joining Rovers late on deadline day last Friday.

Moore believes once the winger settles into life at Rovers, he will deliver the sort of performances that will get supporters excited and help deliver results.

“He was really good, really sharp,” Moore said of Lokilo’s first day.

“It was good to work with him in training. He’s met all the boys and it’s another we’ve welcomed in.

“He’ll settle down and play his part over the weeks and months to come.

“He’s come with a freshness, an appetite. He wants to do really well here.

“He’s come into a first team environment and it’s the right one for him for the type of player he is.

“It’s really exciting. The fans will see a different type of attacking player.

“He’s really comfortable and happy with everything.

“Used in the right manner he could be effective for us.”
