Adwick Allstars junior football club scored the help of former Doncaster Rovers hitman Billy Sharp in winning a new kit for their 2014-15 campaign.
The young footballers netted their new strips after winning a nationwide kit makeover competition thanks to soon-to-launch football App, High5it.
The Doncaster side won after receiving scores of social media votes and support from the community and professional players including former Rovers ace Sharp who is now plying his trade with Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.
The Doncaster & District Junior Football club bagged a High5it-sponsored team strip as well as a set of footballs and a £500 cash boost.
Donna Ashwell, of Adwick Allstars, said: “We are over the moon about winning. The prizes and sponsorship mean a lot, especially as we had our containers broken into recently, so this will go towards getting the kids new winter training jackets we wouldn’t have been able to afford. I was amazed at how the community came together and voted for us, so thank you to them and everyone at High5it.”
The competition was celebrating the arrival of new social football app, High5it, which aims to offer features, live scores, text commentary and more.
