A talented footballer plying his trade in America is due to make his debut today for his new side Los Angeles Harbor College.
Haydn Cahill, 20, moved Stateside for a football scholarship after being scouted by a college in New Jersey following football trials.
And after a stunning first season, during which pacy forward Cahill finished top scorer, the former Doncaster College student was snapped up by the Los Angeles college.
Doncaster Rovers fan Cahill is today hopeful of making his first start for the college, where he is also studying physical education.
Cahill, of Acacia Road, Skellow, fully expects his college to be challenging for the highly ranked Conference and State Cup this year.
He said: “I miss home because there is no place like it, but when I step on to that field I change in person.
“This is my life and I’m doing this for everyone back home - especially my parents.”
