Doncaster Rovers vs Derby County

Pride Park, March 1, 7.45pm

PRIOR to Tuesday night, Derby had failed to win in eight games and scored just three goals in that run, plus not won at Pride Park for six games.

Another season with the Rams heirarchy being happy with mid-table football seems unthinkable in this era of win or bust fortunes but that appears to be the case.

But should this awful run continue, Nigel Clough may be facing a relegation battle the powers that be at Derby may not be so enamoured with.

FEW men in football raise the ire of supporters as much as Robbie Savage.

But there is no denying he is a fantastic character to have in any side and he will be sorely missed when he calls time on his career at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old Rams skipper still battles as hard as ever in midfield but seems to have his eye set on a career in the media.

The former Manchester United trainee and Wales international scored his first ever Rams goal when Derby visited Doncaster in 2009.
