Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan deal of Everton ace Conor Grant until the end of the season.

Grant's initial loan spell of both men wasset to expire following Saturday's trip to Southend United but he will now remain at the Keepmoat for the rest of the campaign.

Boss Darren Ferguson revealed earlier this week he had reached an agreement with Everton to extend the deal but this has now been confirmed.

Classy midfielder Grant has impressed greatly since joining Rovers in late October, emerging as a key cog in Ferguson's preferred 3-5-2 system.

The 20-year-old has made 11 appearances, scoring four goals including a brace at Cambridge United in the FA Cup.

Ferguson said he would assess the fitness of wing back Felipe Mattioni's latest set back before confirming any extension of his loan from Everton

An agreement has been reached with the Toffees for Rovers to keep the Brazilian wing back until the end of the season but a hamstring injury suffered against Oldham on Monday has put that in doubt.

Mattioni has endured a more difficult time with Rovers as he looks to prove his fitness after joining Everton shortly before his loan spell.

The former AC Milan player has made six starts since the end of October with his time interrupted by a calf injury.

He returned to the side at Oldham on Monday but lasted just half an hour before going off with a hamstring issue.

Ferguson also revealed he was close to agreeing a deal with Sheffield United to upgrade Craig Alcock's loan to a permanent transfer.
