Doncaster Belles have been forced to delay the kick-off of their Women’s Super League season because opponents Everton are in FA Cup action.
The Belles were due to start their 2013 campaign against the Toffees on Sunday, April 14, however the fixture has been cancelled because Round Six of the FA Women’s Cup is due to take place, with Everton facing Bristol Academy - the team that recently knocked the Doncaster club out of the competition.
The Belles have suffered a lengthy delay to their season after their Continental Cup game against Chelsea was also forced to cancel because of the snow last month - which has now been re-arranged for Sunday, April 28, at the Keepmoat Stadium, 6pm.
Before then, the Belles will finally kickstart their league campaign at home again versus Chelsea on Saturday, April 20, at 6.30pm.
Doors at the Keepmoat Stadium open at 5pm on the night because there will be live music from Nottingham-based band The Establishment prior to kick-off, the club have announced.
The day marks Doncaster Rovers’ last home game of the season against Notts County. Kick-off 3pm.
