Ben Whiteman’s stunning volley just before the break was enough for Rovers to triumph 1-0 against a side that arrived at the Keepmoat sitting top of League One.
But it was a brilliant game plan delivered that saw Rovers nullify the visitors and lay the groundwork for the triumph.

“Over the last 48 hours we looked at it and did some work on the training ground and made the changes we felt we had to make.
“I feel the changes we made were the right ones for the type of games.
“Sitting here with the three points, it’s always nice.
“It was a close fought game, some top football was played at times and both teams asked some questions.
“For us to win the game in that manner was good reward.”

Hide AdMoore has been critical of his side’s concentration levels after recent matches but was delighted with the manner in which his players remained switched on mentally throughout the game.
“It needed to be, especially against them,” he said.
“They asked questions right the way through the match and they never stopped.
“The players had to be consistent with that today and the concentration had to be at the highest levels.
“Lincoln are an excellent team and I felt any neutral watching would have seen two teams trying to play football the right way.
