Sitting at 2-1 with five minutes to go you’d hope to win the game.

Before the game you have to ask would you have taken a point? I think Paul Dickov would. It’s a good point.

Not many teams go and get anything away at Preston.

The chase for the play-offs has tightened up with Bradford winning too.

It was really pleasing to see James Coppinger return, it’s pleasing at the minute too in terms of getting bodies back in for selection.

I spoke to Brian Horton after the win against Colchester on Saturday and I said he must have been pleased with the performance because we were playing some exhibition stuff.

He just said he was pleased to get the second goal. You’re always wary until you get the second goal.

I thought Rovers were excellent in the game on Saturday. We used the ball well and were great in possession.

Richie Wellens was fantastic and he passed the ball incredibly. he wasn’t the only one, Nathan Tyson was excellent, Luke McCullough did well on his return.

I think it’s hard on Jamie McCombe who did well whilst McCullough was out injured, but I feel that Dickov has a preferred defensive partnership and he’ll stick to it.

It might just be one play-off place up for grabs, but it’d be fantastic if we could go back up.

If we have six or seven key players all in form coming into the last few games of the season and we’re in and around sixth or seventh place, I believe we can do it. Just keep banging the goals in.

A lot of the players have been through this type of situation before which could count for a lot.

Gillingham won at the Keepmoat earlier in the season but I didn’t think they were great, although they have changed their manager since then.

They’re up and down like a lot of teams in this division. They won well at Swindon but I feel there’s a lot of teams in the league - Donny included - who are suited to playing away from home. Hopefully that will be the case again on Saturday.

I just hope we can get a point if we can’t get the win, to stay with the pack. But I think Rovers can win, I’m going for 2-1.

The draw against Preston is a good result, even if it doesn’t feel as good due to the 2-1 lead.

A lot of the players have been through this situation before which would count for a lot.
