Barnsley vs Reading

Oakwell, March 19, 3pm

THEIR remarkable run to the FA Cup quarter final aside, this season has been a little disappointing for Reading.

The Royals were expected to carry their blistering end to last season into this one, but inconsistency has left them with a lot to do if they are to make it into the play offs.

However, seven games without defeat has sent them in the right direction at the right time and they join Hull, Burnley and Leicester as ones to watch coming up on the fence.

A POTENTIAL Barnsley legend following his heroics in the promotion from League One and run to the FA Cup semi final, Howard spoiled that with the manner in which he left for Sheffield United.

There is little doubt over the attacking midfielder’s talents when on form.

After largely being used as a squad player during the early months of the season, Howard has gradually forced his way back into the Royals’ starting line up.

Technically gifted and with an eye for goal, the 28-year-old is also rather fiery.
