The Reds have agreed a deal with Stoke City to extend striker George Waring’s loan deal until the end of the season.
And boss Danny Wilson says he would love to keeper Manchester United midfielder Ben Pearson for longer too.
Waring, aged 20, joined the Reds on an initial one-month loan deal last month.
And having impressed at Oakwell, Wilson was keen to extend the player’s deal.
Waring scooped the man-of-the-match award in Saturday’s much-needed 2-1 home win over Port Vale and scored on his Reds’ debut in a 2-0 home win over Yeovil Town.
Pearson, aged 20, has sparkled at Oakwell since joining on loan and netted the winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 home win over Port Vale.
“We’d love to extend Ben’s deal, we’ve been very pleased with his contribution,” said Wilson.
“We’re in talks with Manchester United at the moment, so hopefully we can do that.
“I’m sure from Manchester United’s point-of-view they want their young players to get experience of first team football – and thankfully we can give him that.”
