Doncaster RLFC have been dealt a big injury blow with the news that Tom Carr will be out for six months with a serious knee injury.
Full back Carr was the club’s first recruit of the close season, joining from Whitehaven.
“We knew there was an issue with his knee when he arrived at the club, but unfortunately scans revealed our worst fears that he would require a knee reconstruction,” said player coach Paul Cooke.
“I am not planning to replace Tom at this stage,” he added. “I hope someone can step up from within the group.
“We also have the dual registration system with Hull FC continuing for the 2015 season, so we definitely won’t be short in the back department.”
