Woman treated for slight burns after house fire in Rotherham

A woman was treated for slight burns and smoke inhalation after a fire in a house in Rotherham.

Firefighters were alerted to a blaze in the property on Carson Avenue, Laughton, at 11.40pm on Friday.

They discovered that some bio-ethanol fuel used to heat the house had caught fire.

Two women managed to escape before firefighters arrived at the scene.

On Sunday night firefighters dealt with a chimney blaze on Haigh Lane, Barnsley.
