Woman hurt in Rotherham road smash


A woman driver was seriously injured in a collision in Rotherham.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in West Bawtry Road at about 5.25pm on January 10.

The 45-year-old was driving a white Toyota Aygo when the vehicle left the road and was in collision with railings. She then got out of her car and was on foot when she was in collision with a blue Ford Focus.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Sheffield.

The 42-year-old male driver of the Focus was unhurt.
