Emergency weather protocol activated by Doncaster Council as temperatures set to reach freezing

Doncaster Council has activated its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol as temperatures have begun to decline.
According to the Met Office, Wednesday night will see a drop to minus one degrees.

Hide AdThursday night will see a further decline to minus two degrees, with a high of only two during the day.
Doncaster Council tweeted yesterday that its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated due to the rapid drop.
It means that more beds have been put in place to support homeless people struggling with the cold weather.
