POLICE are appealing for information after hundreds of tyres were found dumped across fields in Cudworth.

Officers in the town’s Safer Neighbourhood Team noticed the dumped tyres while on patrol in the Cudworth Common area, on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8.

Police believe more than an estimated 100 tyres were dumped in two separate fields.

PCSO Annette Cooley, of the Cudworth Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Dumping of tyres on people land is illegal as it causes severe damage to the farmers’ land and crops.
