THE family of tragic Bolton woman Amy Clark have praised local businesses for supporting a charity fundraiser they have organised in her memory.
Amy, 21, of Campion Close, died on April 21 after falling from the roof of Barnsley’s Alhambra Centre.
Relatives say they have had a fantastic response from local businesses who have pledged their support for a 24-hour relay paddle event and raffle at Manvers Waterfront Boat Club.
Amy’s stepfather Wayne Copley said he wanted to say a public thank you.
“About 10 shops in Goldthorpe have given us items for a raffle we are holding, including sweets, hair products and candles. Morphy Richards gave us a big coffee maker, the Co-op gave us a bottle of wine and ASDA donated champagne.
“I want to say a big thank you.”
The 24-hour relay paddle and raffle, held from noon June 23 to noon June 24, is for the Make a Wish Foundation.
