16-year-old injured in scooter and tractor collision


Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a crash earlier today.

The boy was taken by air ambulance to hospital after the scooter he was riding on was involved with a collision with a tractor at 8.40am.

A spokesman for Humberside Police said: “Humberside Police were called at 8.40am today reporting a road traffic collision on the A161 between Haxey and Epworth.

“The collision involved a black Peugoet Moped and a red tractor. The driver of the scooter - a 16-year-old boy - was taken by air ambulance to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries and remains at hospital receiving treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the collision are urged to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 63 of 02/10/15.”
