Terrified South Yorkshire residents 'woke up to burglar running through their home'

Terrified residents were awoken by a burglar running through their home early in the morning.

The man stole two mobile phones and a laptop before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened in Davis Street, Clifton in Rotherham at 8.45am on Friday, February 24, and detectives have now released an e-fit picture of the suspect.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: "Following numerous enquiries, police investigating the incident have now released an e-fit image of a man they would like to trace.

"Do you recognise him? If you think you know who he is, please call 101 quoting incident number 204 of 24 February 2017.

"Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
