The remainder of Doncaster-filmed sitcom Still Open All Hours is due to be recorded at the world famous Pinewood Studios later this month.
Shooting for interiors scenes of the BBC sitcom will get underway on October 9 - with the show being filmed in front of a live audience every Friday night until November 20.
Comedy legend Sir David Jason has just completed two weeks of outdoor filming in Doncaster after the Beautique hairdressing salon on the corner of Scarth Avenue and Lister Avenue in Balby was transformed into Arkwright’s cluttered emporium once more for shooting of a second series.
The Buckinghamshire studios are known across the globe as the home of the James Bond, Harry Potter and Superman movies and the famed Carry On series was also shot there.
Sir David was joined by the likes of Stephanie Cole, Lynda Baron, Johnny Vegas and Tim Healy for Doncaster filming with the series due to begin with a Christmas special this festive season.
The second series was commissioned after a one-off Christmas special in 2013 and a full series last year both proved smash hits for the BBC.
The revamped show follows on from the original Open All Hours series which ran from 1973 to 1985 and saw late comedy favourite Ronnie Barker as miserly, stuttering shopkeeper Arkwright, assisted by his put-upon nephew Granville, potrayed by Jason.
