Berneslai Homes are launching a new campaign this week called ‘Proud to be a Tenant’, which aims to raise the profile of social housing tenants.

The campaign will reach out to a wide range of tenants and will encourage them to get involved and say why they are proud to be a tenant.

‘Proud to be a tenant’ will be launched today (Saturday July 11) at the Mayors Parade in Barnsley Town Centre and customers are invited to go along and join in at the Berneslai Homes stall on Cheapside.

A balloon modeller will be visiting from 10am until 2pm to entertain the kids.

From July 28-30, Berneslai Homes have arranged a campervan tour of the borough which will stop at various locations.

Tenants are invited to hop on board and say why they are proud to be a tenant in the comfort of a diary room.

Berneslai Homes Chief Executive Helen Jaggar said: “We are proud of our tenants. We want to celebrate this and encourage them to tell us what they think about us. We are looking forward to our tenants taking part in the campaign which will create a positive buzz and inspire them to get involved with our service.”

All visiting staff will be talking to tenants, taking selfies with them and handing out flyers, posters and goodies which include T-shirts and pens.

To join in the campaign or to let Berneslai Homes know you would like the campervan to stop in your area then simply complete a quick survey via the news section on the homepage of Bernslai Homes or email:
