The Doncaster and District CAMRA silver jubilee beer festival is fast approaching and organisers are keen to make this year’s better than before.
Now in it’s 25th year, the festival, from April 9-11, will have around 110 beers on sale. The 25th anniversary festival will be held at The Hub, Doncaster College.
As usual there will be cider, perry, wine, food stands as well as bottled beers from Belgium, Italy, New Zealand, USA and many other countries.
A CAMRA spokesman said: “We have a fantastic line up of live entertainment including on Friday at 9pm, Kick the Habit – a Doncaster band playing classic rock covers.
On Saturday between 1pm and 5pm Honeywitch all the way from Cambridgeshire, will play a mixture of original grooves and alternative folk, followed by Aerotwisted and The Arcane Listed providing bright, uplifting rock from Manchester in the tradition of Fleetwood Mac and Thin Lizzy. There will also be a performance by Frank and James Carline – a local blues/roots duo.
“On Saturday at 5pm Strange Triangle will perform festival favourites and you can expect a mixture of folk and pop. Finally on Saturday at 8pm The Big Easy will play. These are a Leeds based New Orleans jazz and swing band.”
