A DONCASTER shopping village has smashed it’s 2012 fundraising target by raising £50,000 for charities across the region.

Throughout 2012, Lakeside Village sponsored a number of charities to ensure people from all walks of life benefited from the generosity of both staff and shoppers.

British Heart foundation, Marie Curie, Thorne Rural Lions, Breast Cancer Care, Guide Dogs and Bluebell Wood are just a few of those that were supported by the centre.

Cheryl Sadler, Centre Manager said: “Not only beaten our 2011 total, but collected a staggering £20,000 more! On behalf of Lakeside Village and all of the charities I would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has been involved”.
