Sheffield maths whiz Mayuran's invitation honour
A Sheffield pupil is one of 40 from across the country to be invited to Oxford for a prestigious maths event.
Birkdale pupil, Mayuran Visakan, will attend the National Mathematics Summer School 2016 at St Anne’s College, Oxford.
His selection from students in years 10 and 11 nationally is due to his unprecedented 100 per cent score on this year’s Intermediate Maths Challenge.
Martin Roach, Head of Mathematics, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for Mayuran who will undoubtedly benefit from the experience. I congratulate him on a tremendous achievement”.
